The Smile and the Moon

On Candlewood. Panfish'll do that sometimes.

(He caught a little bass, and some panfish, while I was skunked...so any glee is infectious and valid.)

Rugby and American Football

From NeonBubble

"Still not convinced? Try this test: stand with your head against the wall and push. Hurts a bit? That's rugby. Now step back a couple of yards and hurtle at full speed at the same wall. Did you survive? That's American football. If you didn't survive please make your dying action one of closing down your browser window so that I am not held to blame for your injuries. Thankyou."

Obviously would lead to discussion in the comments.

Crude jokes and a cheerleader photo just so you know.

Afghani Wasps

They don't seem to like the explosion in this video.

Syrian

CW mishap.

Who knows, but in the comments section "Corky" has an interesting idea and anecdote.

Bugmenot

I like bugmenot as I have mentioned in the past. The Firefox extension is very convenient, though no longer necessary for Pinch's Dog's Breakfast.

I noticed a, potentially, very helpful new (to me) item over there this morning. 24 hour disposable, usable email addresses.

Signing up somewhere that needs email verification but sick of getting subsequent spam? Generate the email address and you can check in on it for a day.

Taliban

Deaths.

Good.

Stones were involved

That's a classic quote:

"Is this a scientific anomaly based on some sort of Persian resistance to chemical differences in the brain? Or were, like, stones involved?"

via Instapundit

Wow, though. Credit where due on the Columbia matter. I now am glad he was allowed to speak, though I have no doubt it was the rabid scrutiny which brought this presentation about. It's worth finding uncut links to post.

PJ

Saw some neat animals. I have been considering a trip to the "Big 'E'."

Day by Day

via Jimmy's widget is today's "Day by Day" cartoon. Apt.

Movies and Food

Some cities still maintain what I feel is an essential establishment. The restaurant theater. This one I noticed on the Food Channel. Looks like a nice evening.

If only the movie industry would adapt. Any movie suggestions appreciated, I used to go often.

Oh Boy! Oh Boy!

Deserves it's own post!
