What could be more clear than that the notion of precluding gun ownership was not even a possibility? Say what you will, quote where you must, but you could get a hammer and a gun in hardware stores until the sixties (at least.) The preponderance of the citizenry blamed individuals for their acts and not tools when confronting the ugly mess left by criminals.

And she is correct. In my understanding the only reason there is a "Bill of Rights" is because people foolishly assumed these simple liberties, so simple that in the Declaration they are attributed to endowment by our Creator, were not, at first, enumerated in the body of the constitution. Ratification was threatened by future states that wanted the matters explicitly clarified. I, for one, can certainly imagine any number of "are you kidding, we have to write out everything? Of course you know we all have the right to...what on earth do you think we just fought for?" discussions.

Their omissions are telling beyond words. They are transparent, and if they had any potential for rehabilitation their sense of shame would be in full bloom. If you see a journalist and decide to spit on them there is an overwhelming chance that the individual would deserve it, but keep your dignity, they have irretrievably forfeited theirs.

Local Celebrities

Well here they are, happy, but needing a magnet washing. The organic build up on the inside has a magnet which was placed in the interior of the habitat that, with an outside magnet, will spruce up the joint like nobody's 'bidness!'-yo!!!

PBS just finished "Antiques Roadshow," which I love. They are now showing a work regarding Columbus and his voyage. I think I recognize one of the replicas of which they speak!!

The linking is showing the code, and that is distracting, but the connections appear to work on the page afterwards, so that is good.

Hamburger King

Once in a while I poke through what little info I have on traffic here on the blog. I noticed someone came through and on their blog they mentioned Hamburger King, which I googled. Out of respect for the fact that people don't expect others poking through their stuff I will not give the "via" tag or hat tip.

But Hamburger King looks awesome and I am getting hungry. My dad was born in 1927, the year Lindbergh flew to France. There is a wonderful Last Forever song about Oklahoma. The King also links to Bob Wills, a writer singer and performer whom I love. A salute to Bob Wills by the Pine Valley Cosmonauts is fantastic and a must own.
