Food for Thought

Gun owners at higher risk for drinking and dangerous behavior:

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2011/06/15/uc-davis-study-gun-ownership-linked-to-heavy-drinking/

Also at higher risk for not dying in the ten minutes it takes for the police to arrive.

Die Antwoord

Yow...Progeria lad from Die Antwoord's efforts has passed?Link

(h/t melissa stetten, can't seem to link to that specific tweet, just glad that odd news travels...That's the Anthony girl from O and A)

Sad...sad also is why I know that but I do not know who is on any of the dancing/singing/reality programming. Or happy...that?

I am out of step with the usual troops, that's a certainty.

Though I think I saw them on Boing Boing, (Die Antwoord) and that's reasonably...well...so be it.

R.I.P. person beyond your age, R.I.P.!

Well This is a Sticky Situation

I just tried to use an old and tired Krazy Glue...it was all frozen and useless.

I tried to poke the hole in the new tube and it exploded, squirted all over me and the couch and primarily my left hand, though as you try to understand your new limitations and risks the right hand grew an understanding.

Ugh...WTF?

Was that a joke they pull once in a while on the production line?

What an effing mess, what a damned Fine Mess.

Where it's even the least bit deep it just stays, posing a danger, biding it's time.

It does not need to be that deep at all, a surprise to me, I thought it may just cure.

Rats all and heck with things, I say.

update:

This sucks but here is a site that tries to help:

Was considering posting photo of some significant thumb damage but the charger for the g battery is not with my camera dangit.

Count your blessings, they are each finger minus missing flesh plus not seeing my thumb if you are not me...

Bicycles

If you esteem the dignity of the presidency of the United States, do not look up Obama and bicycles.

Do not look this notion up at all, and not in any manner of language whatsoever, and particularly not with the intent of "images".

Carry on.

Lyme Disease

I won't even venture into the whole doctor/difficult.to.consult.with/emerging or changing protocol issues.

I will merely state that my new approach to ticks is to eat them.

I will eat each I find.

Follow for info regarding this brash new protocol.

Eat 'em up Yum Yum!!

Remember, Doctors hate to disagree with one another, and are sick of Lyme questions!!!

Er, that almost begs a bit of finishing wisdom, sadly there is none.

Questions are arguments to a snotty doctor. I will email them an offer to be less of an ass, and hope they don't charge a hundred bucks, but I doubt the bitch will respond.

Certainly she is in over her head if the challenge is to respond articulately.

So much in a diagnosis, it's true, however, one need not be, well, her.

Congratulations!

Again, you know who you are!

A couple of pics of the city taken quickly below. Hopefully I can get some more pics that were taken by another very proud family member. But don't worry, I won't put your pics up all over, I will get them to you to do as you wish, (the ones I took). Actually your Mom took a bunch...at any rate:

Everyone could not be more happy for you!

Your brilliance and hard work are inspiration for us all:)

The one above sits kinda nice as a desktop background the way the 'puter material sits to the left and the eye is kinda drawn to the right, I think. FWIW.

Doritos Pervert

What on Earth?

Who are they tapping to generate commercial attention on their damn products these days? I just found a bag of Doritos in a cabinet and am reluctant to eat it after these commercials.

Yuck, it makes the pond man look like a reasonable go at a commercial.

Here is the finger sucking Dorito pant huffing video (pun intended), I will not embed.

Mr. Little Jeans

Dulcet tones?

I take a little ribbing over my love of the female voice, so be it.

Mr. Little Jeanes caught my ear just now.

Oddly, if you hit youtube and play Mr. Little Jeans over Mr. Little Jeanes, you mostly get something nice, but sometimes something awful and cacophonous.

So go, it sounds nice, dulcet.

Stealth Helo

I had mentioned several years ago, ugh, the topic of stealth helicopters, and that is one of the first things which came to mind reading about Bin Laden:

http://mattio829.blogspot.com/2008/01/quiet-helicopter.html

Images look dead, I should try and update or correct them etc.

Here is an Army Times article regarding the stealth helicopter used recently:

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2011/05/army-mission-helocopter-was-secret-stealth-black-hawk-050411/

Those tail rotors don't seem symmetrically placed (can't quite tell). The scissor shaped set up was distinctive of the long ignored stealth chopper from Vietnam ops.

Damage control?

How many people can you fit in a stealth Blackhawk? Must have been tight.

Update: Here is Porter Goss obviously the worst poker player ever, look at 1:10, , and it jibes with the stated construction of the compound.

Bin Laden was using thumb drives. How do you get info off of a thumb drive at a distance?

It's really just an rfid that needs to be lit up, no?

The folks can microwave them and receive from satellites, a window and not worrying about your subject would work, no?

So what compromised the asset to the extent that you make a public display?

Don't know, and don't know the above...just a thought for a minute.

Wow!

Now there are two things I love in Pittsburgh!

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&source=hp&q=pittsburgh%20nra%202011&aq=0j&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=c9365e657b732f11&pf=p&pdl=3000

I will take a moment now to thank the lucky stars for KK and CM and the NRA.

The little yippers still miss you KK;)!!

Update:

Wow, I just saw the new Mossberg 930 SPX, Kell, while you're at the show can you pick me up one with the Trijicon sight, it looks really cool and I think every American should have one, even if they already have a 12 g:

In fact I feel we should all have a bail out bag and that should be in every one. One each for every member of the family, including the rug rats, they simply don't get access to their BoB's for another decade give or take. Have the material now though, like a cub scout being prepared.

You never know, those democrats could get their wish and prevail in their struggle to castrate every American.

Why do Democrats hate our American liberties and robust sensibilities which include an admiration for self reliance?

Beautiful Suit

Thank you for the lovely suit!

It is gorgeous.

Apologies for any light gunplay, who knew we were disrobing?

Lovely Easter all in all, I'd say!

Jimmy's Horseradish

Wow!!!

Jimmy's horseradish with some lox spread (make sure it's salmon heavy, no silly poorly mixed crap, which I was disappointed with at my local bagel shop. An unfamiliar girl charged me more than usual for my bagels, did not have the compliment I desired in the bagel assortment and the lox spread turned out to be incompletely mixed and waaay light on the seafood. Grumble.)

Where was I?

Jimmy's horseradish and a robust lox spread on a lightly toasted onion and garlic bagel, proportions essential for the magic...and...wooooowwwww!!! :)

Texture and flavor and heat and aroma and sinus circus beyond the pale!!!

A grand slam of a delight!

Very very cool and I still have several bites left!

Yaaayyyy!!

Beer soon, soon, soon---

CT Wildlife

Someone is waiting for a link, and as I work against a recalcitrant computer to present it more formally let me cut to the chase and say that you would be wise to venture over to:

http://moreobservations.blogspot.com/

which flies under the banner Connecticut Wild Life and has some lovely photography and a stylish presentation.

It will be available on the sidebar here on a permanent basis, which I am getting back to right now, and I have to restart this horrendous beast of a computer.

I might add that this computer was purchased used at the suggestion of the proprietor of Connecticut Wild Life, and it has been nothing but problems ;)
