So recently I have had the pleasure of enjoying a couple of cold ones at a good old-fashioned spot in Adam's neighborhood. Nothing new, except that I have chatted with a gentleman about watches and boating a few times. Adam knows him better than I do, but the man is funny and gregarious. Adam just sent this over:
"Arrest made in Bridgeport bank robbery
Article Last Updated: 10/08/2007 12:20:49 AM EDT
Detectives following leads including videotape of a robber Oct. 3 at People's United Bank of Main Street in Bridgeport arrested a 36-year-old city man at his home at 4 a.m. Sunday.
Police said-------, of Luther Street, was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny and held on $150,000 bond.
Videotape evidence and leads led to ---' arrest for the robbery, in which $8,600 was taken.
The robber displayed a note that said he had enough dynamite to blow up two banks."
I have met other interesting people at that friendly spot over the years.
Yesterday we stopped into the Columbus day festivities with Johnathan, a desendent of both Aaron Burr (last evening there was a little gun play but not very much. Honest!) and Thomas Hooker. Hooker Brews are excellent. I have known J for years and each time I see him I castigate myself for not spending more time with him as it denies me the pleasure of his conversation and company. Bport and Bethel have connections from way back.
Well I started this post with the notion to strive to be a more interesting person, but duels and bank robbing are already taken and I have a high regard for originality, so the thinking cap is going on...life is ticking by I need to get on with it and carpe the darned diem.
